Phonolux

An alternative, indie rock group possessing a vintage sound with modern style using contemporary indie and 60’s/70’s rock influences.

In 2007, Phonolux began writing and rehearsing original material with original member, Art Guillermo Jr. The band formed as four multi-instrumentalists with their own songs to sing. Thus, each member got to choose their instrument, depending on the song. This format remained, though Buddy Calvo emerged as the lead singer when the band ditched the musical-chairs format in 2012.

Their self-titled debut was released in 2009. The San Antonio Current reviewed it here.

Thier sophomore release, Nashville Fires, also self-produced, was released in 2012.

In 2013, the band entered Public Hi-Fi in Austin, TX to record their next EP, Feathered Fortress.

Right before its release, a lineup change occured, replacing Art with new bassist, Armando Mora.

Dave Novak - drums
Buddy Calvo - vocals, piano
Armando Mora - bass
Miguel Romero -guitar
